Waiting on a Wednesday

Waiting between appointments. It's actually hard to find a table with outlets in the Mayo Clinic cafeteria. Don't get me wrong. There are some, but, every Tom, Dick and Harry in here with an IPAD or laptop is vying for them. Admittedly, I can go without my POC (portable oxygen concentrator), but I'm more comfortable with it. If I was home I would be using it. And at home, I have continuous flow. This POC only works on pulse inhalation. I used to think I would just stay home. Before COVID, I was already conscious about germs. When living back east, I could count on catching the flu or pneumonia at least once a winter. Not so much here. With warmer weather, we're not all cooped up indoors breathing each other's germs.

Screw that. I'm not going to bitch about air quality or city verses desert living. I'm here. I made it to my appointment this morning. I have my next one within the hour. My chicken salad sandwich was fantastic. It wasn't a chore to force myself to be present. This booth is comfy and I have an outlet. The sun is shining. Life is good. I'm wearing shorts and not to brag, but I've had a couple double takes since I've been lounging in here. Yeah, that's right. A double take. You know when a guy looks back to make sure he just saw a middle aged hottie with a nasal cannula. It's true that I started this post wanting to bitch about the amenities available to the respiratory differently abled, but no, life is good. I haven't gotten everything checked off on my to-do list and that's okay. I'm healthy and happy.

I just saw a video a dear friend posted about staying out of rooms with bad or negative energy. Was there bad energy here when I sat down? Maybe. I don't know, but what I do know is that any negative vibes were squashed when I sat my badass down! Have a fantastic (negative vibe free) day. And know if you do happen to go in a room with some negative Nancys, your bright and airy badassness can outshine them too.
